One More Time

Album: One More Time

Year: 1997

Vanessa Mason & O-Jay Jeglitza attempt to get back together in the                obsolete “One More Time.”

Breathless synths open the single, setting a The chorus starts the single.  They’ve always liked each other. Flirting is like a sport for them. All they have to do is lock eyes once and it starts all over again. (“One more time/Let's do it again/Show no shame/Just call my name/One more time/Again and again/Don't you want to/Play my game?”)

He says she will make her forget whoever she likes now. He’ll make her confused and wonder about what he really wants. He’ll entrance her, getting her to think of only him They will hang out and soon they will actually date, like he’s always wanted. (“24-7 I will make you feel like heaven/I turn you upside down/I spin you round and round/I put a spell on you baby/I will make you come and play me/I'm gonna make you mine/Let's do it one more time.”)

In the pre-chorus, she adds he has that effect on her with a single glance. She wants more than they what they have. (“You spin me round and round and Turn me upside down/You put a spell on me and hit me to the feeling.”)

                       The chorus is sung again.

In the bridge, she wants him to be as flirty as he can. There aren’t any rules. All is fair. (“Play me, play me baby/Play me, show me what you got/Come play me,/Play me baby/Play me, don't stop don't stop/Do it, just do it, let's do it/Again again/Keep it going on/Show no shame/Come and play the game/How did I know that I would/Do this to you/Now that I've made you mine/Let's do it one more time.”)

                The pre-chorus is sung again.

              The chorus is sung twice.

A second bridge is sung. (“Play me, play me baby/Play me, show me what you got/Come play me/Play me baby/Play me, don't stop don't stop.”)

                The pre-chorus is sung.

                 The chorus is sung twice.

A third bridge is sung to end the single. (“Play me, play me baby/Play me, show me what you got/Come play me/Play me baby/Play me, don't stop don't stop/Do it just do it/Do it just do it/Do it just do it/Do it just do it, just do it one more time.”)

Mason (along with Lisa Cork) get the song going as much as they can. Jeglitza clocks in and clocks out after his verses. There isn’t much teamwork, given how much Mason and Cork have to do.

The droning “One More Time” isn’t really any fun.
